Strokkur

Strokkur is a geyser near a big geyser called Geysir. No prizes for guessing where the word 'geyser' comes from! Strokkur spouts as regular as clockwork however Geysir doesn't work anymore unless you pour soap into it. The soap forms a layer on the top of the water so the heat can't escape by evaporation. Geysir then gets hot and pops. Sadly no-one had any soap with them ( plus possession of soap near a geyser is a criminal offence in Iceland).
